Analysis on Soil Characters of the Growing Environment of Xinyangmaojian TeaChinese Full Text

Abstract: The analysis on the soil characters of 4 tea production regions in Xinyang shows the physicochemical characters and element contents of the soil influence the tea quality remarkably.There are abundant K-2O,moderate total N and low available P in the soil of the 4 sample areas.The K-2O content of Cheyunshan tea field is the highest(41.3 g·kg-1) in these areas,which has a correlation with the yellow brown soils which originates in the granite of these sample areas;The pH value is fit to plant tea in Xinyang area,and the organic matter of the yellow brown soil is higher than that of paddy soils while the bulk density of the former is lower than that of the latter in these sample areas,which indicates that the yellow brown soil,compared with the paddy soil,is more suitable for the tea growth.The heavy metal element contents of yellow brown soils are within range of the soil environmental quality standard of organic tea garden,which has no influence on the improvement of tea quality.The content of microelements,such as Fe,Mn,Mo,Zn,Co,is on the average,the amount of B is lower,which has become the limiting factor of improving the tea quality.Therefore,we should apply fertilizers,such as P,B etc,into the soil so as to improve the soil structure and enhance the tea quality.
